World Polio Day Coming Up on Thursday, October 24th

Please plan on joining Rotarians around the world for the "World Polio Day" by making others aware of our fight against Polio.

Here are some suggestions:

     1.  Move your Rotary Club’s regular meeting to or hold a special "watch party” for Rotary International’s live stream event on October 24th 2013, at 6:30 PM Eastern, 5:30 PM Central.  Details at http://www.endpolio.org/news/2013/09/11/world-polio-day-global-update

     2.  Have a Rotarian speak to your Rotary club about Polio before the end of October.  Current information for the talk can be found at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vagdc2w4d7u18rb/TalkingPolio-Sept2013.docx

     3.  Ask club members to use Social media to advocate the importance of Polio Eradication:  See the World Polio Day toolkit for graphics and post ideas for Facebook and Twitter.

     4.  Ask every member to wear "End Polio Now” pins, or do a "Purple Pinkie” event or simply wear Purple on World Polio Day, Thursday, October 24th.  A very simple thing to do.
